There are many reasons why we need more women in politics, but the most important one is that representation matters. In fact, according to the World Bank, only 23% of parliamentarians globally are women. This is unfair, but it also has a negative impact on our societies and economies. So why do we need gender equality in politics? Here are four reasons:<\/p>\n We all know that we need more women in politics. But the question is, how do we get there? Many things need to change to encourage more women to run for office, and we need to start with the way our society perceives politics. We need to make it excellent for young girls to be interested in public service, and we need to break down the barriers preventing them from achieving their goals. We can’t just sit back and wait for things to change; we need to take action now so that future generations of women can have a voice in government. Though there has been progressing over the years, women are still woefully underrepresented in elected office.
